What the service does

AstraVerify is a free checker for domain owners and the people who run their DNS and websites. When you enter a domain it reads public DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and, if you start a discoverability scan, fetches a small number of public pages and files from that domain (the root page, robots.txt, the sitemap, up to four pages listed in it, llms.txt, the social preview image and one deliberately non-existent URL). It then scores what it found and shows the exact record, file or tag that would fix each finding.

Everything AstraVerify reads is public. It does not log in, submit forms, run scripts or fetch anything a normal visitor or search crawler could not fetch.

Scanning domains you do not own

You may scan any domain. Results are derived from public data and are the same information a search engine, a mail server or a browser sees. Do not use the service to place load on a site: fresh scans are limited per domain and per visitor, and repeated requests are served from cache. Automated or bulk use of the scan endpoints without written permission is not allowed.

Crawler user-agent strings

The default discoverability scan identifies itself as AstraVerifyBot. The crawler-access checks and the "Fetch as crawler" feature send the request with the user-agent string of a named crawler (Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, GPTBot) from AstraVerify’s own servers, so that you can see whether your CDN or firewall treats that crawler differently from a browser. These requests come from AstraVerify’s IP addresses, not from the search or AI company named in the string, and they fetch only the root page of the domain you asked about. By using these features you confirm you understand this.

Caching and sharing

Scan results are cached so that repeat visits to a result link do not cause new requests to your site. Anyone with a result link can see the cached scores and findings for that domain, which are derived entirely from public data. Pressing Rescan or Scan starts a fresh scan subject to the rate limits. AstraVerify stores parsed facts (status codes, headers, tag values, record contents), not copies of your pages.

Live email check

If you choose to send a test email to the address AstraVerify gives you, the service reads the headers of that message to identify the DKIM selector and signing configuration in use, keeps the parsed findings for 30 days, and does not use the message for anything else.

Accuracy and liability

Scores and recommendations are produced automatically from what was observable at the time of the scan. DNS and CDN behaviour vary by location and change over time, so a result may be incomplete or out of date. The service is provided as is, without warranty; AstraVerify and CloudGofer are not liable for decisions made on the basis of a scan. Verify changes in your own systems before relying on them.
